Summer and Autumn in Ruka Ski Resort
Spend an active vacation in Ruka and experience Ruka Bike Park, summer sled track and everything else Ruka Village has to offer.
Ruka Bike Park is the most versatile bike park in northern Finland. In the summer and autumn season, four bike lifts are in use - the gondola, the VillageExpress chair lift, the Family Park carpet lift and the Vuosseli anchor lift, and the difficulty level of the routes from the top varies from easy to challenging. The whole family can ride in Ruka Bike Park.
Finland's longest, kilometer-long fun summer toboggan run starts at the top of Ruka from the top station of VillageExpress and descends to Ruka Village.
The Village-2-Valley gondola transports pedestrians and cyclists on a scenic journey from Ruka Village to the other side of the fell to Ruka Valley.
Finland's longest zipline slide offers 364 meters of speed and a new perspective on the surrounding landscape. Departure from the top station of the VillageExpress, the terminus at the top station of the Village-2-Valley gondola.
Rosa & Rudolf Family Park, a winter favorite for families, turns into a fun summer version for the smallest bikers.
There is a 21-lane frisbee golf course on the slopes of Ruka in summer and a 9-lane family track in the Talvijärvi area. Playing is free with your own discs.
Activities for the whole family
Activity-packed summer on slopes and in Ruka Village
With the arrival of summer, the snow gives way to the green slopes of Ruka, but the range of activities is at least as rich as in winter. The ski resort transforms into Ruka Bike Park, which offers a wide variety of routes for the whole family to cycle.
The VillageExpress chair lift transports summer toboggan riders, zipline customers, pedestrians and bikers from the village of Ruka to the top to admire the scenery and enjoy the pace offered by Finland's longest summer toboggan run, Finland's longest zipline and bike park trails. The Village-2-Valley landscape gondola also opens up summer views around the fell and serves as a high-speed connection between Ruka Valley and Ruka Village.
