These Terms and Conditions apply to all guided activities and programs provided by Rukakeskus Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”). By making a booking, the customer agrees to these terms. The content, duration, and price of each activity are described in the specific product description available in the Company’s webshop, brochures, or written offers. All prices include Finnish VAT in accordance with applicable legislation. The Company reserves the right to adjust prices in the event of unforeseeable cost increases beyond its control, including (but not limited to) changes in taxes, fuel prices, or similar external factors.

Reservations and Confirmation
Weekly Activity Programs (Open Departures): Reservations for weekly programs can be made via the webshop, by phone, or by email. Weekly departures are open to the public and require a minimum of four (4) participants to operate. A booking is considered confirmed once full payment has been completed and a written confirmation has been issued by the Company, unless agreed differently in other agreements or contracts. Available payment methods are presented during the booking process.

Program Changes and Operational Conditions
Activities are conducted subject to prevailing weather, snow, and safety conditions. The Company reserves the right to modify routes, schedules, program duration, or content without prior notice if required for safety, environmental, or operational reasons. The Company also reserves the right to interrupt or refuse participation if a participant is deemed to pose a risk to themselves or others.

Weekly program cancellation Terms
In all cancellations, a non-refundable office/administration fee of EUR 20 will be retained.

Cancellations made 15 days or more before the activity date are refundable, excluding the administration fee.
Cancellations made 14 days or less before the activity date will be charged 100% of the total booking value.
If the Company cancels a weekly departure due to insufficient participant numbers or any other reason, all payments will be refunded in full to customer within 14 days.

Liability and Insurance
The Company operates in accordance with Finnish legislation and generally accepted safety standards for program services. Rukakeskus Ltd. holds the statutory liability insurance required by law. Participants are strongly advised to have valid personal travel insurance covering accidents, illness, and activity-related risks.

Motor Liability and Transport
All vehicles and motorized transport used in Finland are covered by valid Motor Liability Insurance in accordance with Finnish law. Compensation for traffic-related accidents is determined under the applicable insurance terms and Finnish legislation. Property damage compensation is limited by law. No compensation is payable where damage or injury is caused intentionally or through gross negligence by the injured party.Snowmobile Activities
All snowmobiles used in activities are insured as required by Finnish law. Participants are financially responsible for damage caused to snowmobiles.

The compulsory deductible is EUR 1,200 per driver, per snowmobile, per incident/accident which damages the vehicle, payable on site.
Drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence accepted in Finland.
Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.

The Company reserves the right to adjust routes, schedules, or cancel a safari due to extreme weather, safety reasons, or participant health concerns. In temperatures below –25°C, children may be transported by car instead of snowmobile. For safety reasons, pregnant persons are not permitted to participate in snowmobile safaris. Any additional arrangements required for alternative participation or transport are at the participant’s own expense.

Health, Physical Condition, and Risk Acknowledgement
Many activities are physically demanding and may involve exposure to varying weather and terrain conditions. Participants with medical conditions or disabilities (including, but not limited to, heart disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, back or joint conditions) or who are pregnant must consult a medical professional prior to participation. By taking part, the participant acknowledges personal responsibility for their physical suitability and participation at their own risk.

Children and Youth Policy
Special child rates apply for children aged 5–11 years. The minimum age for activities is 5 years. Please note that other specific age restrictions may apply depending on the program.
During snowmobile programs, children are typically transported in a sled pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. Children aged 5–10 must be accompanied by a parent in the sled. Children over 140 cm in height may sit on the snowmobile, subject to conditions and safety assessment. The Company reserves the right to modify child-related rules due to weather or safety considerations.

Language of Service
Unless otherwise agreed, all guiding and operational communication is conducted in English.

Force Majeure
Neither party shall be held liable for failure or delay in performance caused by force majeure or comparable circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural conditions, lack of snow, strikes, or other external disruptions.
In such cases, the affected party shall notify the other as soon as reasonably possible and take all reasonable measures to minimize the impact of the force majeure event.
