Oulu–Ruka Ski Bus

During the 2025–2026 winter season, the Oulu–Ruka Ski Bus operates every Saturday from 27 December 2025 to 11 April 2026. In addition to the Saturday routes, additional departures will run as follows: 

• Monday 5 January
• During winter holiday week 10: Tuesday 3 March and Thursday 5 March
• Good Friday 3 April

Tickets must be purchased no later than 9 p.m. on the day before departure.

The bus departs from Oulu Bus Station at 7:45 a.m. and the return trip starts from Ruka on the same day. Passengers may also board along the route. The final stop at Ruka is the Vuosselinportti parking area.

New: Rovaniemi–Ruka Ski Bus During the Winter Holidays

With the Rovaniemi–Ruka ski bus, you can spend a day at Ruka and enjoy the thrill of skiing with an affordable day ticket deal. If you already have a season pass, you can purchase the bus trip at a special price. There is also a separate bus ticket option without a lift pass for cross-country skiers and other day visitors.

Pohjolan Matkat operates four departures from Rovaniemi to Ruka. Operating days are:

• Saturday 28 Feb
• Tuesday 3 Mar
• Thursday 5 Mar
• Saturday 7 Mar

Tickets must be purchased no later than 9 p.m. on the day before departure.

The bus departs from Rovaniemi bus station at 7:40 am, and the return journey from Ruka begins on the same day. You can also board the bus along the route. The final stop in Ruka is the Vuosselinportti parking area.
