GONDOLA

The gondola smoothly transports you from Ruka Village to Ruka Valley in about 9 minutes, or you can choose to get off at the top station on Saarua's summit where BASE Eat & Heat, Saarua slopes and Ruka Park are located. The lower stations of the gondola are located in the center of Ruka Village below the Front Slopes and on the other side of the mountain in Ruka Valley, next to the Rosa & Rudolf Family Park and Ski-Inn Hotel RukaValley.

VILLAGE EXPRESS CHAIRLIFT

The VillageExpress chairlift takes you from Ruka Village to the summit.

Please note that the lifts may be closed due to strong winds. Please check here for any exceptions to the opening hours.

Buy a ticket to the gondola

Pedestrian tickets are sold online and at all ticket offices (during winter Piste Rental, Valley Rental, Vuosselinportti Rental) and at the reception of Ski-Inn hotels at RukaVillage and RukaValley. You can also access the gondola with a valid ski pass/lift ticket.

The pedestrian ticket allows you also to get to the top of Ruka by the VillageExpress chair lift, which starts from the village of Ruka, according to the opening hours of the lift.

Gondola with wheelchair or prams

It is possible to get on the Village-2-Valley gondola with wheelchair or prams. At the lower station of the valley, a wheelchair ramp is located at the gondola exit gate. In the Ruka Village side, you need to get around the staircase in front of the gondola depart station and go to the entrance of the Piste building located on the side of the slopes. Our staff will be happy to help you.

Dogs are also allowed on the gondola.

Snow Racing on Ski Slopes

Snow racing on the slopes of Ruka, slopes numbers 5, 16 and 18, in the evenings from Saturday to Thursday from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. after the slopes have closed for skiers.

Snow racers are available at Piste Rental, prices starting from 19 €/3 hours. You'll need a valid ski pass or Gondola ticket for snow racing, 21 €/2 hours (7.30-9.30 PM).
