Ruka Coaster – Finland’s First Alpine Coaster!
This Alpine-style thrill ride, highly popular across the Alps, is finally arriving in Ruka for summer 2025.
Like a roller coaster in the fells, Ruka Coaster offers stunning scenery and speeds of up to 40 km/h. Prefer a gentler ride? You control the pace with your own brake lever.
Hop into a sled at the lower station next to Piste Rental, where the track’s lift system carries you to the top. The 767-meter descent begins near the summit and finishes back at the base. Each sled fits two adults with individual safety belts. Children aged 3+ can ride with an adult.
Ruka Coaster is included in the Ruka Speed Pass or available with single or multi-ride tickets.
Restrictions:
Minimum age: 8 years (ages 3–7 allowed with an adult)
Minimum height: 135 cm
Maximum speed: 40 km/h
Maximum weight: 150 kg per sled
