Polar Night Light Festival 2027

The opening program includes a torchlight ski parade on the Kuru slope at 7 PM, open to all skiers with a valid lift ticket. Light torches will be provided along the slope and collected at the bottom after the run.

After the ski parade, at 7:15 PM, the Kuusamo Womens' gymnastics sports club will perform a Northern Lights-themed dance show.

All skiers with a lift pass are welcome to Torchlight Ski Parade during the Polar Night Light Festival, every Friday at 19:00 at the Kuru slope (5).

The torches will be placed along the Kururinne slope, where skiers can pick them up and return them to the bottom of the slope after their descent.

Join a guided snowshoe adventure through a magical forest, surrounded by the enchanting vibes of Polar Night Light Festival. If we are lucky enough, the northern lights might dance above us.

The guided adventure will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays on 13.-29.1.2026

Laid-back ice hockey game in Ruka village, on natural ice (Kaltiolampi pond) during Thursday-Saturday 14.-16.1.2027. This is the largest amateur outdoor ice hockey tournament in Europe!
