Construction of the new sauna restaurant at the summit of Saarua is progressing on schedule, and the opening date for the new Base sauna restaurant has been moved up to Dec 13.
The sauna restaurant being built at the summit of Saarua has progressed according to plan. The schedules have held so well that the Base Eat & Heat sauna restaurant now aims to open its doors on Dec 13.
Over 800 name suggestions were collected during the summer, from which Base was indirectly selected, inspired by the suggestion 'Basecamp Saarua'. The winner will receive the promised sauna evening for six people with dinner.
Base Eat & Heat will serve as a base for both relaxed lunches and atmospheric evening gatherings. The sauna restaurant will be operated by Jerry Hartman, the entrepreneur behind Camp Kitchen & Bar. In addition to offering a quality lunch, the restaurant will provide dinner experiences with magnificent views, and the sauna with its pool is expected to become a "Must Visit" destination for Ruka visitors.
