POLJIN – An Absurd Play About Encountering One Another
Poljin is an absurd play for two actors exploring communication and human connection, shared space, moments, and emotions. This intimate and small-scale performance brings the actors close to the audience in the unique surroundings of House of Northern Senses.
The performance lasts approximately 40 minutes.
After the show, audience members are invited to stay for an informal discussion of approximately 20 minutes with writer-director Pepe Hakala and actors Bruno Baer and Amos Brotherus.
The discussion offers a glimpse behind the creative process: where Poljin began, how the original idea evolved into a script, and how that script was ultimately transformed into the performance seen on stage. It is also an opportunity to discuss the actors' work, the themes of the play, and the thoughts and emotions it may evoke, as well as to ask questions directly from the creators.
