Come and experience the fun and speed of snow racing on the slopes that are usually open only for skiers and snowboarders, slopes of Saarua 16, 18 and Kuru 5.
You can get to the top of Saarua with a snow racer on a Village-2-Valley scenic gondola, and you may ride as many times as you want between 7.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. The Evening Snow Racing is suitable for both children and adults. Children under the age of 10 can only participate under adult supervision.
Please note that during this time the slopes are open only for snow racing. You may take your own snow racer with you – but make sure it has the brake string which stops the snow racer after crash.
If the gondola is closed (e.g. high winds), the snow racing will be cancelled. Check the lift opening hours.
We recommend wearing a helmet when snowracing.
Tickets and snow racer rental
Snow racer rental and ticket sales start at 7:15 pm in Piste Rental & Shop. Snowracing starts at 7:30 pm, as soon as the slopes have been prepared for snowracing. There is a limited amount of snow racers and those are handed out to customers by arrival order. Some snow racers might return back to rental use during the evening since not everyone is racing the whole time period.
The gondola ticket is valid 7:30–9:30 pm. Snow racer rental and ticket sales start at 7 pm in Piste Rental Shop in Ruka village.
Valid lift tickets can also be used for evening snow racing (excluding Family Park day ticket). Snow racer rental must be paid separately. We reserve the right for changes.
