Ruka Coaster – Finland’s First Alpine Coaster!
Like a roller coaster in the fells, Ruka Coaster offers stunning scenery and speeds of up to 40 km/h. Prefer a gentler ride? You control the pace with your own brake lever.
Hop into a sled at the lower station next to Piste Rental, where the track’s lift system carries you to the top. The 767-meter descent begins near the summit and finishes back at the base. Each sled fits two adults with individual safety belts. Children aged 3+ can ride with an adult.

Ruka Coaster Tickets
You can purchase a 1-, 2- or 5-ride pass for Ruka Coaster.
Ruka Coaster is included in the winter season passes, but not in other ticket types.
Holders of a valid 3-hour or longer lift ticket can buy Ruka Coaster tickets at a 50% discount off the list price by presenting a valid lift ticket at the ticket counter. The discount cannot be applied to the Family Park ticket or the Family Park + Gondola ticket.
You can now purchase RUKA Coaster single pass online. The tickets are not restricted to the date selected in the calendar, so they can also be used later within the winter season opening hours. After purchase, you will receive a digital ticket with qr-code, that you can show at the gate.
In addition to the single ticket, all other ticket types – including discounted Ruka Coaster tickets available with a valid lift ticket – can be purchased at Piste Rental, located next to Ruka Coaster.
Restrictions:
Minimum age: 8 years (ages 3–7 must be accompanied by an adult)
Minimum height: 135 cm (riders under 135 cm must be accompanied by an adult)
Maximum speed: 40 km/h
Maximum weight: 150 kg per sled
