Edelweiss is extending their winter season to Kuusamo

Following the successful launch to Kuusamo and other destinations in Lapland last winter, Edelweiss is significantly extending the season to Finnish Lapland in the 2024/2025 winter timetable. Kuusamo will now be served from Zurich from mid-December until the beginning of March on Fridays. Besides Kuusamo, Edelweiss operates routes to Ivalo, Kittilä and Rovaniemi in Northern Finland during winter 2024/2025.

With Kittilä, Rovaniemi, Ivalo and Kuusamo as well as new destinations in Norway, Edelweiss offers a comprehensive and attractive portfolio in Northern Scandinavia in the 2024/25 winter timetable. The individual destinations can be combined with each other as part of a round trip.

Ruka-Kuusamo’s International Tourism Development Receives Project Funding

The Ruka-Kuusamo region is currently implementing the project Rethinking North – Year-Round Tourism as a Key to Success, which aims to increase international awareness and tourism demand in the area, particularly during the snow-free seasons. The project focuses on developing sustainable and responsible tourism, improving accessibility, and creating new products tailored to international target groups.
