Semi-warm parking hall is available for all visitors in Ruka. There is an indoor access to Shopping Centre Kumpare, RukaSuites and Hotel RukaVillage as well as entrance to the slopes nearby Piste and Rukahovi.
Park your car comfortably indoors!
- Access with cars 24 h year round.
- Access by foot at 7-22, on Friday at 7-24.
- Parking fees: 1,5 € / hour and 15 € / 24h (longer stays available, purchased at the pay station screen). Pay by cash, Visa, EuroCard or MasterCard.
- Drive in/out: Rukatunturintie and Rukankyläntie. Access to hall by foot: Doors P1 (Shopping Centre) and P2 (Slopes) as well as Rukankyläntie drive-in entrance.
- Maximum height: 2,4 m (adequate for a high car and ski box). No trailers. Other limitations are visible at drive-ins.
- Parking hall will be full on the busiest times (New Year, Finnish Ski Holiday weeks 8-10, Easter). Please note: There must be at least 10 vacant places in order to allow the check in for new guests.

Automatic licence plate recognition is in use in the parking area. You can drive in and pay for your parking at the pay station before leaving.
1. Entry – drive in normally
Drive to the entry barrier and stop for a moment.
The camera automatically recognises your car licence plate.
The barrier opens and you can drive in.
No parking ticket is needed!
2. Payment – pay at the pay station
Enter your car licence plate number on the pay station screen.
Check the parking details and the amount to be paid.
Pay for your parking according to the instructions on the pay station.
After payment, you can head to your car and drive out.
3. Exit – the barrier opens automatically
Drive to the exit barrier.
The camera recognises your licence plate and checks the payment.
The barrier opens automatically once the parking has been paid.
Did you receive a parking ticket at the entry?
If the system cannot recognise your car licence plate, a parking ticket is automatically issued at the entry barrier. In that case, proceed as follows:
Keep the parking ticket safe.
Go to the pay station before leaving.
Scan the barcode of the parking ticket using the reader at the pay station.
Pay for your parking according to the instructions on the pay station.
Drive to the exit barrier and use the parking ticket to open the barrier.
Important: If you received a ticket at the entry, keep it until the exit.
Need help?
If your licence plate is not found, payment is unsuccessful or the barrier does not open, contact customer service using the intercom on the device. Press the call button on the intercom and wait for customer service to answer.
Parking hall operations: Kuusamon kaupunki, Yhdyskuntatekniikan toimiala, Kaiterantie 22 (City of Kuusamo, Community Engineering). In problem situations, you will find a telephone service at the vending machines.
Electric cars
You can find 37 charging points in Ruka Parking Hall.
17 x 22 kW Type 2 chargers are located in the bigger main hall of the parking hall. These charging stations are used with VIRTA or eParking Finland mobile app, downloaded from the Google Play store and the Apple App Store for free.
In the smaller area of the parking hall next to the car wash place there are 20 SuKo chargers for electric cars and hybrids, operated by eParking Finland. The chargers have a power output of 3.6 kW.
You need to also pay parking fee for the Parking Hall (1,5 €/h or 15 €/24h). More charging stations for electric cars are listed on page Parking.
