Destinations Ruka-Kuusamo, Salla, Syöte, Posio, Suomussalmi and Taivalkoski in Finnish Lapland started a large summer campaign in Germany on 1st of April 2022.

The campaign calls adventurous outdoor-minded people to enjoy the endless summer days, and to experience unforgettable adventures under the midnight sun. The goal of the campaign is to increase the awareness of the campaign area as a summer destination, and to inspire the target group to travel there by using Finnair flights to Kuusamo, via Helsinki.

The campaign uses various methods to deliver the core message. Versatile channels of digital marketing, press releases, brand cooperation, press trips and influencer collaborations make sure that the target group will get to know the summer possibilities of Ruka-Kuusamo, Salla, Syöte, Posio, Suomussalmi and Taivalkoski.

This summer campaign is a continuum for the successful winter campaign that was made during the winter season 21-22 also in Germany. The campaign reached millions of people through various channels. Destinations that took part in the winter campaign were Ruka-Kuusamo, Salla, Syöte and Taivalkoski. The campaign was funded by Naturpolis Ltd, through project International Tourism Back in the Way of Growth.

The ongoing summer campaign is funded by Naturpolis Ltd, through project Gateway to Land of National Parks.
