New for Winter 2025: Shared Car “Maisa” in Ruka
You’ll find the Maisa car in a heated parking garage in Ruka, and you can rent it via the Omago mobile app for €6/hour or €50/day + €0.15/km, including fuel. Instructions for registration and booking:
- Download the Omago app from your app store
- Register in the app
- Select the car and rental time from the map
- When your booking starts, you can unlock the car doors by following the app’s instructions. The car must be returned to the same end of the Ruka Parking Hall on the Rukakyläntie side where it was picked up, so it’s easy to locate.
The Maisa car is a shared vehicle piloted in cooperation between the Accessibility Solutions for Tourism-Intensive Rural Areas (Maisa) project and the City of Kuusamo. More information about using the car is available on Omago’s website.
