How to arrive to BASE Eat & Heat?
You can easily reach BASE on foot, by mountain bike, or via the scenic gondola, which runs directly from the lower stations of Ruka Village and Ruka Valley to the top of Saarua. The gondola ride is free with a valid ski lift pass. If you don’t have a valid Ruka lift pass, you can purchase a single ticket for the gondola online, a ticket machine or sales point during their opening hours.
Please note that the gondola may be closed for safety reasons in strong winds. In such a case you can arrive and leave on foot along the marked trail. You can find the up-to-date gondola opening hours in Ruka Slope Map.
