For a private lesson or course, you also need a lift ticket - depending on your skill level, either a Rosa & Rudolf Family Park ticket (14€/person) or a normal lift ticket. The first beginner lesson is always held at Family Park and the Family Park area ticket is enough. If you have booked several lessons, you can talk to the instructor after the first lesson and ask about the lift ticket need for the following days.

For a freestyle lesson, you'll always need normal lift ticket.

If you’re staying at Ruka Village side, you can also buy Family Park and Gondola lift combination ticket for 1 day. Children under 5-years-old will access Familypark area and Gondola lift for free.

Children under the age of 6 with a helmet on get a free lift ticket with a parent with a lift ticket (excluding the Family Park + Gondola ticket). The free Rosa & Rudolf lift ticket must be picked up from our ticket office, and the adult must present a valid Ruka lift ticket.

EQUIPMENT

Before attending the ski school class or private lesson, the student must also have equipment ready. If you do not have your own equipment, you can rent them from Ruka rental companies. You can make a rental in advance through the online store. Please allow enough time for equipment rental before the start of the lesson, especially during the high season. We recommend pre-booking equipment on high season.

IF YOU ARE A FIRST TIMER and you chose level 0 when you made a booking, you can also use ski school introductory offer for a first-timer lesson (level 0, no previous experience in the sport):

The offer is only available for rentals made on site at Piste / Valley / Vuosseli rental shops. Fill the information first to the iPads (it will give you the normal price). When you move on to the rental desk, show the staff your confirmation email (where they can see the chosen level for the lesson). They will change the price to the computer.
Offer is not bookable in the online store. Please arrive at the rental shop at least 45 min. before the start of the lesson. On high-season at least 1 hour before. Also, note the time needed to get to the meeting point.
