Spring Break competitions

At Spring Break, you can take part in casual races with friends. The most important thing in these competitions is style and fun. The best are promised fame and glory, as well as some product prizes.

Spring Break Triathlon

In the triathlon you can compete on the Banked Slalom, Stiga Race and Toboggan Race tracks. On Friday the race will be done as an individual and on Saturday the same sports will be drawn as a pair race. The tracks are open both days from 11:00 to 14:00. In addition to the races, you can take part in the Craziest Outfit competition and the Poker Ride card hunt.

Register for the Triathlon race: on the terrace of Monomesta on Fri and Sat from 10:30 to 13:00 and pick up your race number at the same time.

Spring Break Banked Slalom

On Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., riders will compete against a stopwatch on a race track with tilted turns at the Pessari 10 slope next to the Monomesta restaurant. It’s a fun and easy track that everyone can complete. For some, skis glide faster and for others, for others creativity drives ahead of faster times, in both styles the best are rewarded.

There is also a slope restaurant Monomesta in the finish area of the track, where you can show out your hottest dance moves winged by Spring Break artists and DJs.

The paralympic gold medalist and world champion Matti Suur-Hamari will make the first ride and bottom time of the day. The fastest skiers of the day will be rewarded on the spot, and a lift ticket gift card for Ruka will be drawn among all participants.

On Saturday 23.4. will be raced on the same track, but with a pair. The combined times will decide the winners of the day, who will be rewarded with gift cards from restaurants in the Ruka area.

Spring Break Stiga and Toboggan Races

The arenas will also be built next to the Monomesta on the Pessari 11A slope. On Saturday from 11:00 to 14:00, the same races will be competed with a pair in pursuit of the best possible time together.

Even in these arenas, creativity can go a long way if skills are rusted. Easy and fun tracks suitable for all participants. The fastest and funniest performances will be rewarded.

Spring Break

Spring Break Poker Ride

Poker Ride is an already classic race in Ruka Spring Break where teams collect cards from the slope restaurants in the Ruka area. The object of the game is to collect a five-card hand for the team at the end of the Poker Ride. Since the game is played with a small twist, straight flush may not be the best hand. Only when you return the cards will you see what is this year’s most valuable hand that is being sought.

Poker Ride teams have the opportunity to visit five restaurant terraces; Ihku, Monomesta, Polar Bar, Pizzeria Ruka Terrace, Camp Kitchen & Bar
You can find the locations of the checkpoints at

Each terrace has a deck of Spring Break cards from which one team member draws one card and signs it with his or her own handwriting. There are only a limited number of cards available at the terraces, so we recommend being on the slope in time. Only one (1) card / place / team!

Your team must check in on Friday, April 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and submit their cards to the Piste Terrace at the Poker Ride table on Friday, April 22. at 17:00. The jury will pick the three (3) best hands, among which will compete at the card table for a 4-person accommodation package for Spring Break weekend 2023.

Participation does not require purchasing from restaurants (participation K-18).

Spring Break Craziest Outfit

Who has the wildest, most spectacular and coolest outfits? Whose team collects the best points and also acknowledges bubbling product awards for this eye-catching race that speaks to the entire Spring Break crowd?

Detailed schedules, locations and rules for the tournament will be posted closer to the event.
