Midsummer tips and up-to-date information

Welcome to celebrate Midsummer in Ruka!

The midnight sun, fell landscapes, the Midsummer bonfire, and a wide range of activities make Midsummer in Ruka a truly unique experience. The Ruka village offers plenty to do for the whole family, and Ruka Fun Pass activities are available throughout the entire Midsummer weekend. Read below for the most important tips and up-to-date information for the Midsummer weekend.

Midnight sun rides on Ruka Coaster, summer sledding, or scenic lifts:

Ruka Coaster, summer sled track and Village Express are open on Midsummer Eve 19.6. until 24.00.
Gondola open daily from 18.6. until 21.00.

Impacts of the Solstice Festival

The Solstice Festival will take place at the top of Ruka from 18–20 June, and due to the event, you should be prepared for occasional crowds, especially on the Village Express chairlift.

Bike Park trails are affected by the festival as follows:

During the festival (Thu–Sat from 16:00 onwards), the following trails are closed: Kelo Tech, Kelo Flow, and Ahonlaita Flow.
The Kulma t-bar lift operates Thu–Sat 11:00–16:00 and Sun 11:00–20:00.
