The Midsummer Festival is about happy people and interesting traditions! There's plenty to do and see at Ruka-Kuusamo area for the whole family. Some events and activities are free of charge!

In Kuusamo the whole family can enjoy the midsummer!

Join us in celebrating the shortest night of the year! And in Finland the sun never really sets tonight! The center of adventures and events is the Ruka Village which is open all year round with its various services.

There's plenty to do in Ruka-Kuusamo's weekly program and there are also wonderful wellness services on offer. Ruka Coaster, the summer sled track and the VillageExpress chair lift are open at Midsummer's Eve June 19th until Midnight.

Please note: There's a direct bus connection from Oulu to Ruka on Thursday June 18 and a return bus from Ruka to Oulu on Sunday June 21, 2026. More information on page Getting here.
