New Year's light ski show and fireworks
The new year is celebrated in Ruka with a ski light show and fireworks.
The light show starts at 23:55 on the front slopes of Ruka. And the fireworks are shot at the turn of the year at 00:00. The light parade and fireworks can be viewed from the village of Ruka, near Restaurant Piste, and around Kaltiolampi.
Please note that it is not permitted your own fireworks in the Ruka village area! The area allowed for shooting off fireworks is located at the other end of Kaltiolampi, below the moguls and the aerials slopes. Using fireworks is allowed on 31.12. from 18:00 to 1.1. between 02:00 a.m.
