Guided Nature Experiences in Ruka Ski Resort

All Ruka Guided Nature Experiences are organized by Ruka Ski Resort, offering guided tours in the heart of Ruka throughout the year.

Our focus is on simple and accessible ways to experience Nordic nature. All tours include the required equipment and a professional guide, so you can focus on the experience itself. Whether on foot, by e-bike, e-snowmobile or snowshoes, everything is taken care of for a smooth and safe outing.

Tours start at the very heart of Ruka Ski Resort and are reached effortlessly by gondola — no extra transfers needed. From Ruka Valley in winter and Ruka Village in summer, you step directly into trails, forests and open nature within minutes.

We offer both summer and winter activities, including hiking, e-biking, snowshoeing and electric snowmobile tours. 

Ruka Valley is the starting point of all winter tours

Opening in December 2026, our new activity hub at Bistrontie 2 (Ski-Inn RukaValley) is the starting point for our guided winter experiences, with easy access from the slopes, accommodation and the Village-2-Valley gondola.

Ruka Village is the starting point of all summer tours

Our summer activity hub is located at Piste Rental Store (Rukankyläntie 17), right next to the Village-2-Valley gondola base station in Ruka Village. Join your guided hike or e-bike tour with ease, right in the heart of the resort.

Book your experience easily through our online booking system. Once payment has been completed, you'll receive a confirmation email with all the details you need before your adventure.

Dress according to the weather. On our winter tours, we provide a warm thermal overall to keep you comfortable in Arctic conditions. Detailed clothing recommendations are provided with each experience, and all required technical equipment is included.

No. Most of our experiences are suitable for beginners, and your guide will provide instructions before the tour. Any activity-specific requirements are listed in the product description.

Many of our experiences are family-friendly. Children aged 5 and over are welcome on selected tours. Please check the age recommendations on each activity page before booking. Children under 12 years old may attend only with an adult.

Cancellations made 15 days or more before the activity are refundable (excluding a €20 administration fee). Bookings cancelled 14 days or less before the activity are non-refundable. If we cancel an activity, you'll receive a full refund.

Your safety always comes first. Routes or schedules may be adjusted according to weather and snow conditions. If an activity cannot be operated safely, we'll contact you and offer an alternative or a refund where applicable.

Drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence accepted in Finland. A compulsory damage deductible of €1,200 applies in the event of damage to the snowmobile.

All our guided experiences are conducted in English, unless otherwise agreed in advance for private groups.
