Discover the best festival weather of spring on Ruka's slopes

Ruka's spring is filled with sun-soaked slopes, festival vibes, and skiing. The Harmaa Rinne festival kicks off spring in March as Finland's largest k18 after-ski event. Ruka's ski stadium will host some of Finland's hottest pop and rap artists, including JVG, Sanni, Alma, Anssi Kela, Cledos, Kuumaa, Ibe, and many more.

Ruka Playground transforms the Vuosseli slope area into a creative playground with obstacles and playful shapes, running from Easter to May Day. The legendary Ruka Spring Break conquers the fell again in April, offering slope competitions and internationally renowned after-ski dances. The spring season concludes with the well-known highlight of Finnish snowboarding, Wappulounas, featuring unique venues, competition formats, and a relaxed atmosphere for the best moments of spring.

In addition to slope skiing and events, spring visitors can enjoy well-maintained cross-country ski trails in the Ruka area, offering approximately one hundred kilometers of skiing. There are options for shorter loops, including routes with multiple trail cafés, as well as longer excursions. Among these, the wilderness trails, located just a short drive from Ruka, provide an excellent alternative, allowing skiers to traverse traditional routes amidst stunning landscapes, such as along the riverbanks.

As a counterbalance to active pursuits, the saunas offer relaxing steam. How about indulging in the Seven-Star Smoke Sauna, sauna yoga, or an ice sauna experience?
