Over 200 riding days in Finland's most popular snow park
The Ruka Park skiing season is famously the longest one in Finland but season 2019–2020 Ruka Park offers even more days of riding when the park slope was opened already in October. Ruka Park is opened until May when the Spring Camps are over.
Ruka Park is located in the Saarua slopes, next to the Village-2-Valley gondola top station. Finland's most popular park includes two slopes and multiple different obstacles for snowboarders such as freeskiiers. In addition, an olympic level landing bag is located in Ruka Park, which is suitable for big air and slope style training. It is opened for groups with advance reservation. Public training slots for the landing bag is organised on Saturdays. Read more about the landing bag. The lifts operating for Ruka Park are the fast SaaruaExpress (H) 4 person chair lift and the Saarua T-Bar lift (I). The park riders in Ruka get to enjoy the constantly reformed Ruka Park with take-off ramps, boxes, rails, minipipes and lots of else. In addition, Rosa Park which is located next to Ski Bistro, Ruka Park and Rosa & Rudolf Family Park forms a wide area for all level park riders with park elements of a different degree of difficulty. Ruka Park and Rosa Park get shaped every day which means that there is something to ride all year round. See how the parks are developed through our social media channels: Instagram and Facebook.
Ruka Park Club - Break room for park riders in Saarua Express substation
The break room is open based on SaaruaExpress opening hours. When the lift is closed the chairs are driven to preservation to the warm hall, which makes SaaruaExpress chairs free of frost and snow each morning. When the chair lift is operating normally the break room with its services is open for riders. At the park club was installed a big screen for movies, a TV and PlayStation, a sound system, a ping-pong table, an air hockey table and a table football. Additionally there are a dryer and lockers for charging your mobile devices. Moreover, there is a possibility to heat up your own packed lunch and do some bodybuilding between the riding with different equipment. The space is developed constantly based on the feedback which is why we hope that the youth will utilize but also respect the space as their own.
