The best of the freestyle skiers compete for the World Championship titles for the 10th time ever. In mid-March around 300 competitors from about 30 nations arrive and conquer the hills of Ruka. Also the Ruka Ski Center has a reason for a little celebration, and not only because of the World Championships, but because of the 50th birthday. All the five freestyle disciplines will be introduced in the World Championships for first time in the history! Moguls, dual moguls, aerials, Ski Cross and Half Pipe are all in the competition program. From the Finnish point of view interests will arise around the Olympic winner, World Champion Janne Lahtela and the two-time World Champion Mikko Ronkainen in moguls as well as around Jenni Kilpinen in women's Ski Cross.

Accreditations for the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2005
Accrediations have started in the beginnig of the November and the dead line for the request will be in the 15th of February. Any questions concerning accreditations should be directed to the Chief of press ms Petra Olamo.

Media Center
The media center for the World Championships is situated in the brand new congress center nearby the finish area. Dozens of office tables are placed in the second floor of the congress center where you also have the possibility for internet connection. It is possible to use both ADSL and wireless W-LAN connections including all other devices for information transfers.
