The Frontside slopes near Ruka Village are often considered to include the best slopes at Ruka, and for a good reason!
Most competitions are held in this area. Frontside slopes are quite demanding, not for absolute beginners. Most visitors start their day here by taking a chairlift either to Saarua or Vuosseli areas.
Services:
The main lodge is situated at the foot of the slopes: ski passes, ski hire, ski service and Restaurant Piste are all in the same building called Piste. Hotel Rukahovi and Shopping Centre Kumpare are less than 100 metres away.
