RUKA VILLAGE - UNIQUE PEDESTRIAN VILLAGE IN RUKA!
The pedestrian village of Ruka is unique project in Scandinavia. Plans were initiated already back in 1999 with the Ruka Master Plan. The concept of building a pedestrian village and relocating car park under the village was brought to life with the guidance of the globally renowned Ecosign Mountain Resort Planners Ltd, specializing in ski resorts.
After several years of planning and construction the pedestrian village is now ready! Ruka parking hall was opened in 2008 and Hotel RukaVillage in October 2009. The expansion of Hotel RukaVillage with new restaurants was finalized in October 2010. Click the map below or panorama picture on the right side to open bigger village map with all the services.
