TOURIST CENTRE KARHUNTASSU SERVES CUSTOMERS ALL YEAR ROUND

Whatever the season, a visit to Tourist Centre Karhuntassu will be well worth your while. Found under the same roof are Kuusamo Info, Central Booking FinFun Ruka, Metsähallitus Nature Services Customer Service Point, Hannu Hautala Nature Photography Centre and cafИ and Ruka-Kuusamo Tourist  Association

Outside the Karhuntassu building are notice boards presenting general and route maps for the Kuusamo area, a spacious parking lot, a playground for children in the rear courtyard, and a monument erected in honour of the WWII 3rd Army Corps. The lobby has two computers with free-of-charge Internet connection at your disposal. Ruka Info is located in the Kumpare Shopping Centre of Ruka.

Both Infos offer brochures and maps of Kuusamo and neighbouring municipalities. They offer information on current events, places to visit, sights, restaurants, and routes within the area. At Kuusamo Info you can also book accommodation and activities.

Among the products on sale in the Infos you will find an extensive selection of maps for cross-country ski trails, snowmobile routes, canoeing routes, hiking routes and travel maps. All national and regional fishing licenses and permits available. Check the Pricelist for more details.
